This program will begin with the basics of IRAs, Roth IRAs, and Roth conversions. We'll cover the changes made by the SECURE Act that affect the tax and estate planning for IRA owners, including the change in the required beginning date, allowing traditional IRA contributions after age 70 1/2, the general rule limiting distributions to 10 years following death, and the exceptions to the general rule.  Finally, it will cover the changes in planning for IRA owners to best cope with the changes in the law.

Learning Objectives:

  2. Understanding the changes in the law made by the SECURE Act.
  3. Understanding how best to plan under the SECURE Act.
